Pre-Built docks are custom built and available in approximately two weeks. Pipe is Purchased Separately as length will be determined by your specific water depth. Some final light assembly may be required. If Added to Cart below freight is "curbside" delivery by contracted carriers. QUANTITY DISCOUNT 2 or more for $1699 each. Product may be available from your local retailer and will ship directly to that location.

How much weight can the unit handle?

Each 4' x 10' Section has a weight rating of 1,500 lbs.

What type of wood is the Decking?

If you choose to Build It Yourself the Wood is not provided. What you receive from PlayStar are Aluminum Frame kit, hardware and dock components to build one 4 ft. x 10 ft. Stationary section. Lumber (treated or cedar), screws and pipe sold separately. See "Tools & Materials" tab to download a complete list of lumber required.

Can you fasten 2 frames together length wise to make a large firm platform (8 x 10)?

Yes you can easily put 2 kits together to make an 8' x 10' section.

How do you butt the 4' ends together to make a longer dock?

PlayStar's Aluminum Stationary Dock is connected at the 4 ft. ends with our unique Dock Connector Clip PS 1021.

Can you use a different top (cedar, Trex) or must you buy Playstar's?

You can utilize any wood decking that is recommended for outdoor use.

Will the foot plates work on a mixed sandy/muddy shallow lake bottom?

The design of the foot plate has 2 features which may help you in this instance. 1. You can allow the dock pipe to protrude through the bottom of the foot plate and sink into the lake bed. 2. The foot plate has holes in all 4 corners which enable you to attach additional material to create a larger surface area if needed.
